THE TANGY CITRUS BERRY
Our sumac is harvested in the sub-tropical region of Izmir, Turkey, where the fresh sumac berries are picked and then dried and ground to form the beautiful coarse reddish-purple spice you have before you.
- AUTHENTIC GROUND SUMAC - Savor a culinary staple of the Middle East with our delicious Turkish sumac, sourced from the subtropical Izmir region! This iconic spice is famously used in traditional Palestinian Msakhan, fattoush salad, and many other delicious dishes.
- DISTINCTIVE TASTE - Sumac seasoning is tangy and aromatic, adding a pronounced citrusy tartness and a bright, refreshing flavor to your dishes. Our ground sumac is harvested later in the season for a darker reddish-purple color and a more balanced, lemony flavor.
- ALL-NATURAL INGREDIENTS - Z&Z Sumac features just one single ingredient: dried sumac berries. Our flaky coarse grind ensures you’re only getting fresh, pure sumac berry goodness with no salt, artificial flavors, preservatives, or additives commonly found in other sumac powder.
- HOW TO USE - Ground sumac spice is a key ingredient in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine, where it’s used in dry rubs, marinades, dressings, and more. Sumac pairs especially well with lamb, chicken, fish, and rice. You can sprinkle it on just about anything to add a lemony twist and a burst of color—it’s even delicious on fruits like watermelon or cantaloupe!
- ABOUT Z&Z - Z&Z is a family-owned business dedicated to bringing the flavors of our Middle Eastern heritage to your table!
